Well, Travel Photo Roulette #62 is officially over, and that leaves us with the tough job of picking a winner! Thanks to everyone that submitted a photo showcasing mountains from around this world. We had some truly breathtaking entries, and have added a lot of new places to our list of places we hope to visit some day!
Before we get to the winner, let’s highlight some of our favorites:
#15 submitted by Kris of The World is Our District
Kris told us this picture “does nothing close to bringing justice” to The Grand Tetons. We can’t imagine how beautiful these are in real life, because this picture is astounding! Love the crystal clear skies and water.
#2 submitted by Food Travel Bliss
Another gorgeous mountain and water shot submitted by Food Travel Bliss – this one of Lake Bohinj in Slovenia. These perfectly still and calm waters provide the perfect reflection of the gorgeous mountains surrounding it.
#4 submitted by James of Fly, Icarus, Fly
The warm blue hues of this picture of Ninh Van Bay submitted by James really blew us away. As he put it in his notes, the water, mountains, and sky all became one.
Of course, there can only be one winner, so after much deliberation, we chose:
The Winner of Travel Photo Roulette #62 – Passports and Pamplemousse!
This sunset shot over Mt. Rigi, Switzerland was simply stunning! Really love how this was framed, with the tall tree partially obscuring the setting sun and the snow-covered mountains peaking out of a low cloud layer.

Congratulations Passports and Pamplemousse! We are already looking forward to round #63!
So close again!! That’s a great photo to lose to though:) Thanks for hosting a great theme…we’ll keep plugging away!
Thanks for hosting Erik! Really thought I had a chance – Ha! 🙂 Looking forward to to next round!
Beautiful Pictures!
Great pictures, specially that one of Lake Bohinj in Slovenia.
